MetroPCS is expanding and is applying for a building permit to begin construction on its wireless facility at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, despite an appeal alleging the installation is in violation of North Andover's Zoning Bylaws. MetroCS is allowed to begin work at its own risk, however, should the appeal be upheld, the company would have to take down everything it has built on the site.

MetroPCS Communications Inc., a regional carrier, is offering a new product to help families who are thinking of cutting the cord.Â
The new service is called "GroupLINE," which allows the family's calls to be placed into a conference mode. When someone in the group picks up a call, the phones of the others will ring in case they wish to join in the conversation.
With more and more wireless companies trying to find different ways of replacing land lines, this is a definite step toward cutting the home lines. Soon, other options to improve cell coverage within a home will be available, as well as other high-tech selections.
