Sprint Nextel Corp. is hiring in Virginia.
 Sprint announced that it is looking for more workers at its Hampton Contact Center in Hampton, Virginia.
Sprint announced last month that it would close a network operations center in Reston and eliminate 100 jobs, but said the new jobs in Hampton will be added to the 700 employees now working at the contact center. Sprint said that new hires will be offered competitive salaries, medical and dental insurance, 401(k) plan participation, performance bonuses, and participation in the employee wireless phone program.

Sprint is holding several job fairs to interview interested candidates who can meet with Sprint representatives to learn more about the positions at the following upcoming job fairs:
-- Sprint Onsite Open House, Thursday, April 14, noon to 2 p.m., Sprint, 400 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, Va.
-- Career Fair, Tuesday, April 21, 9 a.m. to noon, Hampton VEC, 600 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, Va.
-- Career Fair, Thursday, May 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Hampton Holiday Inn, 1815 W. Mercury Blvd, Hampton, Va.
Walk-in applicants are welcome daily at the Sprint Contact Center:
-- Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sprint, 400 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, Va.
