 Like a certain fast-food chain that boasts a few billion served, T-Mobile can boast a hefty 1 million G1 Android phone sales after only a six month period from the product's launch.
Android phones are also available in other parts of the world, but AdMob reported the Android has a 6% stock of smartphones in the U.S. market concerning OS'. Now only behind the iPhone, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile, the Android is now in 4th place. Despite not knowing about this achievement for a few days, this milestone for T-Mobile, as well as Google, shows the weight placed in their U.S. marketing.
With two-thirds of the 3G phones on T-Mobiles network, the G1's release date in October is impressive.
