I had an associate who bought the LG VX8000 as a back up phone. He has now changed it to his main phone based on how good the signal and features were. I asked him to let me borrow his phone for the weekend to review it. I'd have to say he was correct.The LG VX8000 was used on a weekend trip to the beach with my family. It was very useful, easy to pocket, good signal and didn't break when I dropped it on the cement parking lot...LOL

My sister has this phone and while on a road trip her 2yr old daughter grabbed the cell and threw it out of our moving car to see if it flies. Well, sure enough, it did... right down a rocky hill. We stopped the car, fearing the phone was toast, and as we climbed down the steep hill we hear the phone ringing and found it. It still worked! Yes, it had scratches, but to our amazement it still worked!

This is a great phone to own. I am a phone "Pack-Rat" and use many different models and use this one a lot.
